The joins this range, offering a fairly simply but stylish phone aimed at developing markets and budget consumers.

Priced at just €85, the is a lightweigh 79 gram phone with a basic 128×160 pixel CSTN display in 65,000 colours plus a smaller external display. The 2660 also has an and MP3 ringtones (but not a full ). Surprisingly for a device that it so inexpensive, the has Bluetooth too.

There’s also a speakerphone function, support for GPRS and WAP and also . These are all pretty common in midrange phones, but remember this is significantly less than €100 which makes it very good value for money.

The battery life on the is impressive – it has a maximum of 7 hours with up to 13 days standby time.
Closely related to the is the Nokia 2760 – just over on gram heavier at 80.5 grams but this time coming with an improved and a digital camera.

This also comes with an , Bluetooth, a spakerphne and MP3 ringtones but as with the 2660 there’s no and certainly no . The battery life is also quoted a 7 hours and 13 days standby time.

At just a shade more expensive than the , the €90 Nokia 2760 is significantly better due to the and camera, although carrier subsidy always tends to distort prices when they get to the consumer.

The more basic will be available in Black, Silver and Warm Silver colours. The slightly more expensive 2760 will be available in , Velvet Red, Smoky Grey, Metallic Black and Sandy Gold colours.

These are dual-band GSM devices – available in either 850/1900 MHz or 900/1800 Mhz according to market.

Both the 2660 and 2760 models offer exceptional value for money, and although their features are a little basic compared to most “midrange” models in , the 2660 and 2760 are aimed at a different type of customer.

Nokia say that these two devices should be available during Q2-Q3 2007.
