Is the BlackBerry Storm even news? Well, though it’s been thoroughly covered on this site via various and tip-offs, a confirmed release date for Verizon’s network is a different thing altogether.

RIM’s first BlackBerry smartphone will be released at a juicy $199 price-point, after a $50 -in rebate and with a new two-year contract, as usual. Support for 3G bands across the world is on-board, thankfully, so users will be able to take advantage of its darling display.
