SanDisk working on 128GB MicroSDHC cards?

The world’s first 16GB MicroSDHC are still not widely available around the , yet SanDisk is apparently readying that will have a huge of 128GB.

That’s more than the capacity of lots of PCs and currently on the market, and a lot more than many of us will ever need for our .

According to Deccan Herald, the 128GB will be “MicroSD” ones, but since these officially support only up to 2GB of memory, it’s more likely that the future will be MicroSDHC.

Either way, the 128GB will be released in about two years, sometime in 2011. Well, too bad, because by then Apple might launch, let’s say, an 4G with 320GB of , while might have an Nseries with similar internal memory.

But let’s dream no more and better wait for further details on SanDisk’s 128GB , ’cause they surely promise a lot.
