Business types, or anyone who wants a slick messaging mobile phone which isn’t a BlackBerry, should take a good look at the latest release from Nokia, the E75. We saw this phone at Mobile World Congress and loved its simple, functional design and excellent array of features, so we’re pleased it’s made the jump to availability so soon.
The E75 uses the Symbian S60 operating system, so it’s easily customised via Nokia’s site or through the many S60 software websites, is 3G with HSDPA support plus Wi-Fi connectivity too. At first glance the E75 is a chunky candybar-style phone, however, when the QWERTY keyboard slides out from the side and the screen auto-rotates into landscape, you’ve got yourself a versatile messaging phone. In addition to the new Nokia Messaging service, the updated email interface found on the E75 supports Microsoft Exchange,Lotus Notes, Yahoo, Gmail, and Hotmail email systems, plus the focus on business application continues with upgraded meeting, calendar and contacts too.
Interestingly, the E75 will also play N-Gage games and has a 3.5mm jack plug for your own headphones, so it’s not solely designed to be a business mobile. Other features include A2DP Bluetooth, a 3.2 megapixel camera with video capability, Assisted GPS and a MicroSD card slot to upgrade the memory. The E75 is another impressive messaging phone from Nokia and we’re looking forward to giving it a try!
