3G Access Comes to Mount Everest

A Nepalese telecom, Ncell, which is a subsidiary of Swedish-owned TeliaSonera, recently installed a 3G base station about half-way up Mount Everest. The station is set at an altitude of 5200 meters, near the village of Gorakshep.
