Pastebud Brings Copy and Paste to the iPhone and iPod Touch

If you’re using an iPhone, chances are you’re frothing at the mouth for a real copy/paste feature to be added to the device OS. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will actually become a reality at MacWorld this coming year (in January), but we’ve been waiting for this for awhile… So don’t be surprised if it doesn’t surface.
At any rate, in the meantime it looks like there’s a new workaround for this problem. Called Pastebud, the new service will allow iPhone and iPod touch users copy/paste functionality between Safari to Mail, or simply between two web pages. Developed by translator and developer Jed Schmidt, Pastebud uses JavaScript bookmarks in Safari and a web backend to make this work.
The Pastebud service is free (great news), however there will be some advertising in the footer added to your copied text (no biggie for now I suppose!). If you’d rather be rid of the ads, you can pay $5 for a ‘premium’ version that eliminates the ad-ridden footer.
For more information go ahead and check out Pastebud… Or check out the demo video above.
Be patient… This one has been getting a lot of press… Might be a tad on the slow side. Let me know what you think!
