Nokia has just unveiled the new Nokia E72. Like its predecessor, the Nokia E72 boasts of rich mobile email and instant messaging features. It combines the great features of the E71 and the desktop like email features of the Nokia E75.Topping the long list of features of the Nokia E72 is a full QWERTY keyboard, a new optical navigation key for better scrolling through the phone’s menus, emails and images. The Nokia E72 also has upgraded 5MP camera and a standard 3.5mm audio jack for a nice listening pleasure.
But what makes the Nokia E72 stand out is its Instant Messaging support. The E72 will allow users to set up instant messaging accounts right on the phone’s homescreen. It will give users quick access to various IM platform including Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Ovi and others.
Adding to its IM feature is the Nokia E72’s powerful email features including Nokia’s mobile email service and various email protocol including Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveller. Of course, it also gives quick access to Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail and more.
Other notable features of the Nokia E72 include A-GPS, compass with integrated maps, active noise cancellation, torch, and QuickOffice support.
The Nokia E72 is slated for a Q3 2009 release. It will have an estimated retail price of EUR 350.
