Samsung provides their latest TV phone, the GT-I6320C, for the Chinese 3G Network, TD-HSDPA TD-SCDMA 3G and CMMB. There is nothing special since this technology only supports up to 2.8Mbps. It seems that China needs more years to develop a faster internet connection.

Samsung M8920

It seems that Samsung is pushing theirself really hard, as today a photo of another Samsung 12 megapixel cameraphone leaked. The recently announced Samsung Pixon12 M8910 — Samsung’s 12 megapixel cameraphone — is still hot and fresh, and now they’ve prepared a better one? Already? Wow .. way to go, Samsung!
Ok, some guys said that this device IS the Samsung 8920, but we don’t know it for sure yet. But when i said it’s a ‘better’ cameraphone, i really mean it; since the 12 megapixel camera on its back supports 3x optical-zoom! (you can see it clearly in the photo) With that, it would easily overrun the low-end or even the mid-range cameras and the other cameraphone. You’ll also see in the photo that the camera is packed along with both Xenon and LED flash. More goodies that will be on-board are the GPS and Wifi with DLNA support.
Another source i trusted was putting some updates regarding this photo leak. It’s said that the Samsung M8920 is not a smartphone, since it’s going to use the Samsung TouchWiz UI. Also, the screen — which is not visible in the photo — is going to be a full touch-screen a huge one; and it will packed with an 8GB internal memory.
There’s no info whether the Samsung M8920 will be making its appearance on the Samsung Event in June 15th or later on this year.

Halfway around the world, there’s another telecom aside from Rogers who is reaping the rewards of being an exclusive distributor of the 3G iPhone.Softbank Mobile in Japan has experienced improved data usage from their subscribers which can, in part, be associated to Apple’s mobile phone. Despite net profit sliding 11.5%, operating profit rose to ¥180 billion or $1.85 billion.
Thanks to the iPhone, the company managed to pull in more mobile subscribers and because of its dependence on data connectivity, revenue from such services helped in achieving record-high levels in operating profit.
This is a prime example of what the iPhone can bring to a telecom firm. Telecoms should treat the iPhone as a way to lure in more customers by offering it at reasonable price so that they can get more income from data service usage.
Profit from the device itself is only secondary to the added revenue the company will receive from data services that the iPhone greatly relies on. This is what telecom companies should realize if and when they decide to offer the 3G iPhone.
